Yosra Zekri is a distinguished Tunisian soprano renowned for her captivating performances across opera, Maghreb, and contemporary music. A recipient of numerous accolades, she won First Prize in the Tunisian National Opera Singing Competition in 2010 and Third Prize at the International Opera Singing Competition in Vivonne, France, in 2013. Zekri graduated with a diploma in opera singing from the Higher Institute of Music in Tunis in 2011 and went on to complete a master’s degree in musical research and musicology.
Her career is marked by iconic roles in opera, including Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata, Gilda in Rigoletto, and Musetta in Puccini's La Bohème. Zekri has performed internationally in countries like France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Denmark, and Algeria, earning widespread acclaim. In 2014, she made a groundbreaking contribution to opera by performing the first opera songs in Tunisian Arabic, with lyrics by Emna Rmilli and compositions by Jalloul Ayed.
