Santiago Torres, born on March 28, 1984, in Stockholm, is a talented musician and passionate music teacher. His musical journey began at a young age with guitar before mastering drums and percussion. Raised in Uruguay, Santiago immersed himself in Latin American music, learning from esteemed musicians like Osvaldo Fattorusso, Martin Ibarburu, and Diego Bartaburu. He later returned to Sweden, graduating from the Royal College of Music (KMH) in Stockholm, where he studied under notable musicians such as Sussan Rosenberg, Andre Ferrari, and Rafael Sida.
Throughout his career, Santiago has played and recorded with prominent artists including Grammy Winner Samuel Torres, Ellika Frisell, Julieta Rada, and Sven Allbäck. He has also collaborated with renowned producers like Per Aldehiem and Mikael Marin, and shared the stage with music icons such as Liam Gallagher, Kaiser Chiefs, Travis, The Charlatans, Väsen, and Ale Möller.
Since 2016, Santiago has been a key member of the multi-award-winning band 13 Daze, performing 3 to 4 times a week at Lock Stock and Barrel, part of the Solutions Leisure group. His dedication and extensive musical experience make him a sought-after artist in both performance and teaching.
