Sergio Catalan born in 1979 in Santiago, is a Chilean musician, songwriter, singer and academic. He discovered his passion for music on the school stage, where he took his first steps in a self-taught way in a guitar and voice from his early influencers’ from bossa nova, Nueva trova cubana, flamenco musicians. Catalan studied classic guitar in the National Conservatory of Music in the Major University in Santiago, Chile. Later he specialized in popular music arrangement and compositions in the Modern School of Music. Sergio developed his career as a composer, guitarist and singer of
popular music through different performances in his country, embracing his repertoire in the romantic ballads, jazz, Flamenco fusion, Latin
American music and pop ballads. His passion for music and interest in expanding his musical experience brought Sergio to the United Arab Emirates in 2008, where he performed his show in a wide range of places such as “Dubai Opera”, “EXPO2020”, “Tolerance award”, “SEKKA festival”, “Mother of Nation
festival”, “Sharjah Music festival”, “Dubai Jazz festival”, “DU Arena Abu Dhabi” beside private, and corporative events in high rated Hotels such
as Burj Al Arab, Armani - Burj Khalifa, Four Seasons, and more.
