Martina Cancio, originally from Bahia, Brazil, is a professional dancer, choreographer, dance instructor, and photo model based in Dubai. A passionate artist with a love for cultural diversity and body movement, Martina has been dancing since 2001.
Her dance education includes studies at the Dance University “UFBa,” the “Academia Baiana de Dança de Salão” (ABDS), and belly dance training with renowned instructors like Fernanda Guerreiro and Marcia Mignac. Martina began her career performing regularly in Brazil at places like Shopping Lapa in Salvador and the Arabic restaurant “Império de Nefis” in Sergipe. She also taught belly dance and ran a social project for elderly women.
Martina’s international career began in 2005 when she performed at the "Palácio de Almanzor" in Fatima, Portugal. By 2007, she was granted a professional dancer license in Brazil and started performing in the Middle East. Martina has since performed across Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, UAE, Oman, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, as well as in India, Pakistan, the Maldives, Portugal, Spain, the UK, and Italy.
Today, Martina is a sought-after performer and instructor in Dubai, blending her diverse cultural experiences into her dance and choreography.
