Simon Colinese

Simon Colinese’s musical journey began at a young age, where he developed a distinct taste compared to his peers, preferring classic Motown tracks over mainstream pop music. Influenced by his uncle, a Motown DJ, Simon’s interest in music deepened as he grew older, leading him to explore minimal deep tech and tech house under the alias "Squidge." While his focus shifted to underground sounds, Simon maintained a broad appreciation for all forms of house music, from nu-disco to mainstream vocal house, which he played under his real name.

At 19, Simon realized he could bring his diverse music library to the turntables, and began his DJ career in Nottingham, starting as a warm-up DJ with a mix of disco, chill-out, and piano sets. His breakthrough came when he began playing peak-time slots at the underground house/techno venue, Sunlounge (now Ghost Bar) in Derby.

Building on his success, Simon started producing his own tracks, adding a unique touch to his performances. Seeking new challenges, Simon eventually moved to Dubai to expand his career and bring his distinctive style to the vibrant music scene.
