Hamdan

Hamdan Al-Abri was born in the United Arab Emirates on the 18th of April, 1981. His parents, Mukrim Al Abri, a Zanzibari musician, and Fatma Mattar Tajir, a doctor of Ugandan, Comorian, and Indian background, married and moved to the UAE in the late 1960s.

Hamdan Al Abri is a Singer/Songwriter and one of the founders and frontman of the Dubai-based soul band ABRI. He began singing at a young age and launched his career by collaborating with various groups and bands in Dubai and abroad. ABRI, led by Hamdan, released two widely acclaimed albums in relatively quick succession: "Sunchild" and "Blank Notes." The band toured extensively through India, Bahrain, the UK, the Maldives, and the U.A.E, sharing stages with notable artists such as Erykah Badu, Ziggy Marley, Arrested Development, Kanye West, and Joss Stone.
